Transport-only service provider. We do not operate as a funeral parlour, mortuary, embalming facility, crematorium, burial service or funeral policy provider. All transportation is conducted in support of authorised funeral parlours, mortuaries, hospitals, insurers or approved responsible parties, subject to applicable documentation and legal requirements.
Simple, direct collection and transfer
If the deceased needs to move from a hospital to a mortuary, from a mortuary to a funeral parlour, or between funeral operators, we handle the refrigerated transport between the authorised collection and receiving facilities. In everyday search language this is also called body collection, body removal or a mortuary transfer. We support scheduled inter-provincial and repatriation routes where the responsible parties supply the required authorisations and permits.

The stainless-steel compartment combines forced-air cooling, an easy-clean transport platform and a dedicated condensate drainage line. The compartment is pre-cooled and set to the controlled cold condition required for each transfer.

Are you a funeral parlour?
No. We are a transport-only company. We do not arrange funerals, store, prepare, embalm, cremate or bury. We move human remains between approved facilities — that's our whole job.
Do you collect a body from a hospital and take it to a mortuary?
Yes — that's the core of what we do. We collect from hospitals, clinics or other authorised facilities and transport directly to the receiving mortuary or funeral parlour in our refrigerated vehicle, with signed handover records at both ends.
Can a family contact you directly?
Yes — we'll gladly take your call and guide you, but transport is carried out in support of an authorised funeral parlour, mortuary, hospital or insurer, with the correct documentation in place.
How quickly can you collect?
We operate 24/7, including after-hours and weekends. Once the paperwork and route are confirmed, we dispatch — availability depends on scheduling, distance and vehicle readiness.

Conveyance follows Regulations 12 and 13 of GN R363; route approval and official documents remain the responsibility of the relevant South African authorities, facilities and authorised clients.

Regulatory status
Body Transport Solutions is an independent, conveyance-only human-remains transport provider. We do not operate funeral-undertaker premises or a mortuary, and we do not prepare, embalm, preserve or store human remains.
Collections and deliveries are undertaken on the written instruction of the lawful custodian, funeral undertaker, mortuary, hospital or other authorised facility. Conveyance is performed in accordance with Regulations 12 and 13 of the Regulations Relating to the Management of Human Remains (GN R363 of 22 May 2013), together with applicable infection-control, occupational-safety and facility-access requirements.
Any Certificate of Competence remains attached to the named funeral-undertaker premises or mortuary and is the responsibility of its certificate holder. It is not transferred to, shared with or held by Body Transport Solutions.
Premises rules vs. transport duties. Premises-specific preparation and storage requirements do not apply to our operation because we do not run a mortuary or funeral-undertaker premises. Transport, handling, infection-control and facility-access requirements remain fully applicable to us.
No storage in transit. The refrigerated vehicle is used for active conveyance, not overnight or temporary cold storage. Remains are collected and delivered directly.
